About the Event

This 4 weeks, immersive and empowering development program will give you the structure and coaching needed to help you build the roadmap to the career you want.

Module 1: Self Awareness & Development

Before you focus on self-development you need to be fully aware of what areas need more focus. To kick off the programme we walk through practical exercises to establish your Strengths, Weaknesses & Values and distinguish weaknesses from areas of development.

Module 2 - Horizontal & Lateral Movements

Climbing the corporate ladder is a phrase we’re all familiar with, but are we all prepared for it? A common mistake is waiting for the promotion before exhibiting the skills required to competently carry out the new role. In week 2 we look at how to utilize lateral movements to prepare and practice for horizontal movements. Every movement has merit, but you need to know how to extract the benefits.

Module 3 - Personal Value Proposition & Wall of Achievements

It is easy to downplay the vital need of being able to articulate your value, after all, you'll have them all on your LinkedIn page, your CV etc. However, If you were asked “what value do you bring to the table?” by your ideal employer as you were in the lift together, could you communicate a succinct response in a few minutes? By the end of this session, the answer will be YES. You'll also learn to proactively use your wall of achievement to feed into our Personal Value Proposition and become more confident in selling yourself. 

Module 4 - Managing Up

Whilst your manager manages you, you also need to know how to manage UP. Creating this skill enables you to have the most productive and effective relationship with your manager. Currently, how are you managing your manager and is it reaping maximum benefits?

Module 5 - Self Management

In the final week, we take everything we have learned and pull together your self-management career development toolkit designed to proactively support your successful career trajectory.

Programme includes group coaching session, and a fireside chat on adaptive resilicience to thrive in the morden workplace!

Who: Professionals women with up to 5 years of experience working the Engineering Industry 

When: September 2024 cohort will meet once a week for 2 hours

Application process: Application is open until 31st of July and reviewed on a rolling basis. Successful applicants will be invited to an interview and notified of decision within 2 weeks.
